WARNING! This Blog Post May Contain Spoilers For Ghostbusters (1984), Ghostbusters 2 (1989), and Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)!
Howdy neighborino! (I love The Simpsons <3 Such a good TV show!) So I recently watched both, Ghostbusters 2, and the third and finally movie, Ghostbusters: Afterlife. So I thought, now that I've seen all three! Why not rank/compare them for you all today! Sound fun? Now I know I just did a comparison blog post two weeks ago, HOCUS POCUS 2 REVIEW! + COMPARISON , b-u-t I really like doing them :) And, unfortunately spooky season is coming to an end 😞 BUT! That also means it's going to be Christmas season soon!!!! *sings All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey* I know some of you will be mad at my for being ready for Christmas before Thanksgiving, but come on just let me live! Anyway, enough about Christmas! We're still celebrating Halloween!! You guys will be able to find out who I'm being for Halloween soon *mischievous smile* I may have already mentioned it in a blog post, but I'm not sure 😅 Boy, am I getting distracted today! Before I babble on about other silly things, let's get started!
Now when I rate the movies (at first) it's going to be off of the movie itself, NOT compared to the others, just yet. That will be at the end!
Ghostbusters (1984)
I mean do I even need to 'review' this movie? I mean it's just such a classic! I love it so much <3 If you haven't watched it, you must be living under a rock, because come on! Who doesn't love Ghostbusters? I mean there's good comedy, romance, and ALL the Halloween vibes.
One of my favorite things about this movie is that if you're the type of person who doesn't like horror movies (or maybe you're just not in the mood to watch one), but you still want that spook factor. This movie is perfect! I would rate this movie a 10/10! Let me know what you think of Ghostbusters?
Ghostbusters 2 (1989)
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie! I do feel like it might be a bit too similar to the first one, but that's me being picky. It had some, possibly even better, comedy then the first one, and the storyline kept you interested! Basically to sum it all up, if you enjoyed (or even loved) the first one you will definitely like this move :) Overall, I think it's a great addition to the Ghostbusters franchise <3 I really enjoyed it! I highly recommend ❤ I'm going to give it a solid 8.5/10 But I would like to know...What would you rate this movie?
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
Now even though the cast is incredible! I wasn't quite sure what to think about this movie at first, but I really loved it! It wasn't as good as the first, but then again it was made almost forty years later, so *shrug* It almost (like the Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2) felt like there was the essence of the original (or in this case originals) but mostly a completely different movie, but this one (unlike Hocus Pocus 2) seemed to somehow incorporate things from the first two, but still being creative, and making this movie it's very own. The acting was really amazing, the comedy was on point (of course, cause Paul Rudd's in it) and they definitely kept the amazing qualities from the original. If you like the first two. I'm sure you'd love this one <3 I really enjoyed it! I think I might like it even more then the second one? (but not as much as the first) I'm going to rate it a 8.7/10!

I never thought the original could be topped. However I liked the writing, story, acting and teen elements of Afterlife so much that for me THAT is the new apex for Ghostbusters
